The 2024 #CONNEXTGEN honorees exemplify character virtues, which are strengths of determination, #compassion, and intellect. These strengths are cultivated through dedication and #selflessness in pursuit of their passions.  Painter Bros. owner and founder Zach Tanner appears on the 2024 list.  

Passion comes from the Latin root "Patior", meaning to suffer and endure. Through their commitment, they gain freedom from uncertainty. Through their sacrifice, they gain clarity as lesser alternatives are eliminated.

To be passionate is to suffer and endure our irrationalities, limitations, and fears. To let them go is to gain purpose and meaning. It is a common misconception that we "find" peace and happiness. When in reality they are the outcome of our efforts.
