Plastic and Tarps

To protect your carpet, floors and furniture from splatters, you’ll need plastic garbage bags or tarps. Tarps are especially good for floors since they better absorb the paint and aren’t as slippery. These two also go hand in hand with rags. Be sure to have some wet and dry rags nearby for any quick cleanups.

Tape

Just like the plastic and tarps you’ve seen above, tape is usually used for protecting small fixtures such as handles and lighting fixtures, so you don’t get paint on them. Simply tape off these sections, paint away and remove the tape after.
